1967 Triumph Rickman Metisse

In England, Off-Road by AbhiLeave a Comment

After Thursday’s street-based Rickman Velocette, reader Steve F. shares what most people associate with the company- a Rickman Metisse. These popular bikes utilized a Rickman frame with (in this case), a Triumph engine. Just like a dog with no discernible breed, this bike was a mongrel of sorts – so they used the french translation (Metisse) to name it.

Triumph Rickman Metisse - Left Side

This specific Triumph Rickman Metisse uses a 500cc Triumph twin from a ’67 bike. It has spent the last 15 years in private collections, but still runs great (and apparently sounds even better).

The seller says this bike has been “Garage Art” for the last 4 years, so I’m hoping the new buyer is ready to get it back on the road. It features original paint, original levers…and that’s about all you’ll get out of the seller without calling him or her.
