4-7-Update: After a couple of months on ADVRider, this VMW R69S Conversion is now available on eBay. Find it in Santa Ynez, California with bidding up to $6,100 and the reserve not yet met (remember that the seller originally wanted $12k for it)

Back in the 60s, a delightfully crazy man started shoving VW engines into BMW motorcycle frames. The resulting “VMW” was built among other things, to carry sidecars in a world before Goldwings. I’ve shown you a VMW before, but that one looked more like a Harley. This one looks like a VERY large sportbike thanks to the Glaser fairing, Talbot mirrors, Hella starship turn signals, and the custom tail section. I don’t understand why a R69S had to be sacrificed instead of any other BMW of the time, but as I don’t have the capability to build something like this myself, I’ll stop whining. Find this crazy conversion for sale here on ADVRider (registration required) for $12,000 or best offer.
