There’s some great names in motorcycling history – Combat Wombat, Interceptor, and, to name a few. But damn if “Horny Toad” ain’t high up on the list as well!

Based out of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Ruttman offered a variety of mini bikes called the “Uglys”, named after “the world’s ugliest little creatures all ready to unleash a whole pack of fun.” You could get a Pak Mule, Horny Toad, Vulture, Spyder, Grasshopper, or the Wild Goose you see here. All were fully assembled and ready to go and most, including the Horny Toad, featured a 4 horsepower Tecumseh HS 35 engine. Here’s a copy of their 1971 brochure, which shows that they also offered options like a band brake, lighting, and even a “Ski-Trac” kit that would replace the front wheel with a ski for “all the fun of a snowmobile.”

This example has been restored and it comes with the “original manual and many articles and ads for these cool mini bikes as well as a display stand for you to display it in your home or business.”

Find this Horny Toad for sale with a BIN of $1,795 in Onsted, Michigan here on eBay.
