Interested in a XS650 but don’t feel obligated to overpay for celebrity ownership? Here’s a survivor that’s said to still run like new.

The XS650 was quite a popular motorcycle – approximately 500,000 were built over a 13 year production run. When released, it was Yamaha’s biggest production bike and it was advanced for the time with unit construction for the engine and transmission, as well as a horizontally-split crankcase. It aped the styling of classic British twins but these Yammies developed a solid reputation for reliability. For more information on the XS650, check out this article on Motorcycle Classics.

This example has just 9,960 miles and it’s got a recent service which included fresh fluids, a tune-up, a new chain, and new period correct tires. According to the seller, it “runs, rides, shifts, stops, like a new bike.” Find this XS for sale in Leesburg, Florida here on Craigslist for $4,500.
