Post Listing Update: This Ipotesi did not get any interest at the opening bid of $5,000.

Designed by legendary automotive stylist Giorgio Giugiaro, MV Agusta’s Ipotesi wasn’t just beautiful, it was technically impressive. Triple disc brakes, cast magnesium wheels, and a 10,000 rpm redline made this 350cc bike a treat to ride.

The 350cc was an air-cooled, two-cylinder unit fed by dual Dell’Orto carbs. Produced only between 1975 and 1977, the 350 was an instant hit after being revealed at the Milan Motorcycle show. The 350S differed itself with the beautiful fairing, a shortened seat, and a shortened tail that was angled slightly upward. This example (VIN: 2160521) is unfortunately offered with a salvage title, though the seller doesn’t explain why. It was imported from Italy in May of 2015 to a private collection in Napa Valley, California. It has never been registered, it just comes with entry paperwork from the US Customs & Border Protection. Per the seller, “I’ll never have time for it, and it deserves to be seen and ridden. It runs, rides, and stops very well.”
