1987 Kawasaki KLR650 with 1990 Honda CBR1000 Engine

There’s plenty of people out there that would love to see more power out of their KLRs…but this is an unexpected way to do it. This Frankenbike combines a KLR with a Honda CBR1000 for something that will definitely get attention.

Per the seller: “This is a one of a kind Kawasaki KLR with a CBR1000 motor. Basically cut the top part of a KLR off and put it on a 1990 CBR 1000 so the two frames are combined. TON of work has gone into this bike with a lot of custom parts and work to get it all together. Was a super fun project to do but ready to let it go and start a new project.

Some of the upgrades include:
Eagle Mike fork brace
Seat Concepts custom seat
Larger EBC front brake rotor
Upgraded front brake caliper
Stainless steel brake and clutch lines
Ignitech programmable ignition
KOSO speedometer
Started the bike today for the first time in several months and was running within 20 seconds
.”

He adds something that I can definitely believe: “You get a lot of confused looks from guys that know the KLR when riding this bike.”
