Post Sale Update: This Silver Jubilee sold for $12,099 after 40 bids on eBay in Mauldin, South Carolina.

To celebrate the 25th year of Queen Elizabeth’s reign, Triumph built a limited edition of 2,400 Bonnevilles with silver/red/blue paint, a blue seat with red piping, some chrome, and decals on the sidecovers. Of the 2,400 bikes, 1,000 went to the US, 1,000 stayed home in the UK, and the rest were built for Commonwealth export.

It seems that the idea for this celebratory bike came from Lord Donald Stokes, who was consulting with Triumph while running British Leyland. Between international markets, the bike had different tanks, but there were also some differences in the sidecovers: UK bikes said “Limited Edition”, US bikes said “One of a Thousand”, and the other exports bikes said “International Edition.” Each bike also came with a Certificate of Ownership.

This example (VIN: T140VGP84268J) is said to be a “brand new motorcycle that has never been used.” The one cosmetic issue is a nick in the fuel tank, but otherwise it’s been very well-preserved. It comes with the toolkit, the original battery (which never had acid in it), and four original keys (2 fork lock/2 ignition). The odometer shows 2 miles from being pushed around a dealership as well as his private collection, and the seller notes that it could be ridden with a service and he kicks the engine over regularly. The sale also includes the Certificate of Ownership and the MSO.
