Post Sale Update: After being relisted, this Defender sold for a $11,000 Buy-It-Now on eBay in Sacramento, California.

When people think of Harley police bikes, the Dyna platform doesn’t usually spring to mind. Yet between 2001-2004, Harley sold a police-issue Dyna (called the FXDP Dyna Defender) that did not get much love, making it a cool and rare find now.

The FXDP made it on Motorcycle.com’s list of top 10 Harleys of all time, and it was different from the base Dyna as it had a solo saddle, run flat tires, floor boards, dual front discs, different bags, and more. Just 300 bikes a year were produced.

This example (VIN: 1HD1GKV191Y333165) has approximately 19,000 miles and it’s offered with a clean California title. It’s got plenty of recent chrome and powdercoating, and more importantly it comes with all the “police goodies”, as the seller puts it: hard bags, working lights/siren/PA, Motorola radio box, and more.

Find this Defender for sale in Sacramento, California with bidding up to $7,500 and the reserve not yet met or a BIN of $11,500 here on eBay.
