Based on the S3 Thunderbolt sport-tourer, the “S3T” gained some extra touring bits to go with the extra T – taller bars, lower fairings, and color-matched hard bags.
Other than those changes, the S3 and S3T were basically the same, sharing a 91 horsepower 1,203cc engine. In 1999, the Thunderbolt got several updates including fuel injection, Thunderstorm cylinder heads, Showa suspension, and a 10 horse bump in power. This example (VIN: 4MZFS11J523100190) has 19,586 miles and it’s equipped with the optional Performance Machine polished aluminum wheels as well as the factory bags. As a 2002, it’s from the last year of the tube framed Buells, and you’ve got to love the Volcano Gray/Blaze Orange color combination.
