In 2001, Harley-Davidson released the V-Twin Racing Street Custom (VRSC). You may remember it as the V-Rod. A muscle bike that was used as a base for drag racing, Harley got some attention with this bike because the Revolution v-twin engine was jointly developed with Porsche. The V-Rod spawned a multitude of models, including the “Night Rod” of 2006-2008. Here’s a first year example of the VRSCD.

The Night Rod got mid controls, Brembo brakes, and a blacked out frame to complement the 120 horsepower engine. A Night Rod Special was also built – that was a ‘custom’ with a wide rear, blacked out components, forward controls, and a 240mm wide rear tire.

This example is being offered by the first owner. It has 33,000 miles with a dealer service record and it’s always been garaged. It looks great in the photos, especially if you like HD chrome accessories. More substantial modifications include a 5.3 gallon fuel tank conversion, rear luggage rack, heated grips, sport windscreen, and saddlebags. Find this Night Rod for sale here on Craigslist in Puyallup, Washington for $7,500.
