Post Sale Update: This Commando sold for $16,000 after 19 bids on eBay in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Norton has been in the news plenty as of late, but not for good reasons. The most recent headlines have covered its takeover by the Indian brand TVS. But there’s still a few leftovers from the recently failed rebirth, and owners are going to have to decide how they want to treat their bikes in a time when it may be difficult to get spare parts. We’ll see what the market thinks this one is worth as it’s already met reserve.

All 961s got goodies like USD Ohlins forks. The cafe racer differs from the other models only in cosmetic features, as far as I can tell. Said features include the clip on handlebars and the carbon fiber flyscreen. This example (VIN: SAYCMC016EY005131) has just 1,184 miles and it’s one of the 50 cafe racers that was made for export to the US. The seller is the original owner and says that he waited three years for it to be built. Aftermarket modifications include the bar mirror, factory embossed seat, and exhaust.
