AMA Race Bike – 2008 Buell 1125R

In America, Race by AbhiLeave a Comment

In honor of EBR’s announcement that they’re somehow back again, even if no one ever seems to buy their new bikes, here’s an ex-AMA Buell racer that was ridden by Shawn Higbee for Richie Morris Racing.

As you’d expect, this bike has plenty of goodies, including Ohlins forks and shock, a EBR chain drive conversion, EBR full race exhaust, 2 sets of plastic, a Nissin race master cylinder, EBR front brake cooler…the list goes on and on, but the highlight is probably the “SS endurance spec Buell factory race motor”, which I would want to know many more details about. On Sunoco GTX race gas it put down 147 horsepower to the rear wheel and it apparently won the last AMA race it was in, which happened to be at Road America.

For more on Shawn, check out the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, which has a picture of him riding this exact bike. Because it’s been a race bike from birth, this motorcycle does not have a title, but you’ll get the Manufacturers Certificate of Origin and a Bill of Sale.

Find this 1125R racer for sale in Asheville, North Carolina for $6,500 here on a Facebook group dedicated to the Buell XB. The bike is also here on Craigslist for the same price.
