Whenever Jay features a motorcycle on his YouTube show, I try to pass it along. This technically qualifies as a motorcycle, so here you go!
Buy An Entire MX Park!
Today I’m not featuring an interesting MX bike for sale. Instead, I’m featuring a place where you can go to enjoy riding, as Monster Mountain MX Park in Tallassee, Alabama is up for sale for the price of $950,000. Who wants to go in on a group buy with me?
Japan Only – 1991 Yamaha R1-Z
Post Sale Update: This R1-Z sold for $6,101 after 36 bids on eBay. Just like the fantastic TDR250 that I’ve recently featured a couple of times, the R1-Z was never officially sold in the US and it features a retuned TZR250 motor. Unlike the TDR, this was limited just to Japan and it’s a naked sport bike. Two-stroke lovers, rejoice!
1985 Moto Guzzi V65 TT
Post Listing Update: Despite 49 bids up to $3,200, this TT did not meet reserve. If you want a Guzzi dual-sporter nowadays, your only option is the pavement-focused Stelvio. But back in the 80s, Guzzi tried to take on BMW and their new-at-the-time GS with the Tutto Terreno (TT).
MotoQuest Transporter Specials – Fall 2017
Here’s something for you to contemplate as you get settled in your office for the week: at the start and end of each riding season, MotoQuest needs to get some of their inventory up to Alaska and back. To help make that happen, they offer “Transporter” deals for people to ride their bikes instead of throwing them in a trailer …
1000 Mile Range – 2006 Suzuki V-Strom 650
Thanks to the auxiliary fuel tank on the back, this well-modified V-Strom 650 can do 1,000 miles at a time without stopping. How far can you go? I’m not in love with the styling of this generation of V-Strom, but with all the works that’s been done it’s hard to argue with this for $2,600.

On September 2nd, Bonhams is hosting an auction at the National Motor Museum in the village of Beaulieu, England. 18 lots are up fro sale and all but three of them are pre-1960s. Let’s see what’s on offer!
Interview Intermission – Andy Goldfine, Founder of Aerostich
If you’ve been following Bike-urious for a while, you’ll know that I’ve been a fan of Aerostich gear from the beginning. Unless I’m wearing something for a review or need to be in a specific style, my default gear is typically a Transit 2 jacket and Combat Touring Boots. My go-to on longer trips is the Roadcrafter R-3. It’s not …
Born Free 8 Best in Show – 1942 Harley-Davidson UL Chopper
Post Sale Update: After 26 bids on eBay, this custom Harley sold for $21,100. Built by Jeff Leighton, this Harley won Best in Show at Born Free 8 – beating out an insane dual-CB750 engine’d build (sorry, link isn’t in English but the pictures are universal). Unfortunately, it looks like his shop was broken into during an international trip, and …
Pre-Unit Bobber – 1957 Triumph Tiger Custom
Post Sale Update: After 13 bids on eBay, this custom Tiger sold for $13,056. Built for The Horse magazine’s Amateur Chop Off, this build started as a one-owner Tiger T1100. It’s won a couple of awards and it got the builder an invite to Fuel Cleveland as well. It’s not perfect as the clutch needs to be adjusted and the …
AVC Rebuild – 1974 Ducati 750GT
Post Sale Update: This 750GT sold for $25,000 after 20 bids on eBay. The last time I featured a 750GT, Paul d’Orleans called it “the best motorcycle of the 1970s. Period.” What more of an endorsement could you want? This example was recently restored by the experts at Austin Vintage Cycle, so you’ll be all set to enjoy it for …
Auction Preview – Baxter Cycle Rally Auction
As part of their 36th Annual Motorcycle Rally, Baxter Cycle is partnering with VanDerBrink Auctions to sell off 100+ bikes with no reserve this Saturday, August 19th.
Allen Millyard Build – 1975 Honda “SS250”
I’ve featured the amazing custom builds of Allen Millyard before but until today I haven’t been able to share one of his builds that was actually for sale. Today is a good day – at least for those of you in the UK. Meet the Honda “SS250”, named because it’s a 1975 Honda SS50 frame with the 250cc motor from …
Video Intermission – A Motorcycle Made of Bones
Sturgis has wrapped up and one of the most photographed motorcycles was not a bike at all. Keith Booth is a new resident of Sturgis and he used over 150 cow bones to create a sculpture called Rapid. He assembled what you see here over a 30 hour period and the sculpture is for sale for $3,500.
Ending Soon – 3 Tiny Restored Hondas
You all know I love the Honda S90 (probably irrationally so), but it’s the CL90 that really gets my attention in this trio of 3 Honda 90s that were restored by South Brooklyn Moto.
