Back in April, I let you know about a large auction by Mach IV Motors as they were clearing out 180 motorcycles. They accumulated more parts and bikes throughout the year, and it looks like it’s time for another auction!
I don’t know how I only heard about it now, but I’ve had a few people mention to me in the last few minutes that a motorcycle collection is being auctioned off today and the some of the bidding looks real low. Maybe you can snag yourself a deal?
Two weekends from now, Bonhams is auctioning off 451 lots as part of their Autumn Stafford Sale at the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show in Stafford, England. As you’d expect, there’s a lot of cool old British metal, as well as some interesting exports that American never got to officially enjoy. Here’s a few of my favorites.
Someone in Clarks Grove, Minnesota has been collecting motorcycles for 25 years, and is now “shifting gears to spend more time on other ventures.“
Kyriacos “Charlie” Mavros passed away last year in a motorhome crash while en route to an AHRMA race in Carolina, and his incredible collection of motorcycles (mostly sportbikes) is being offered up with no reserve in November by J. Wood & Co. It’s a staggering list of bikes for those of you that like to go fast on two wheels.
In Chester, Pennsylvania on August 24th, J. Wood & Company is offering over 100 motorcycles (and some bicycles, vintage tractors, memorabilia, and other goodies) from the estate of Kurt Rappold – all at no reserve.
Next month, Mecum is offering up over 50 motorcycles (and a whole bunch of fascinating cars) at the tail end of Monterey Car Week.
This Saturday, BH Auction is hosting the ‘first ever auction of collectible motorcycles at the Coca-Cola Suzuka 8 hours Endurance Race. BH stands for “Best Heritage”, and it’s hard to argue with that title when you see some of the beauties that are going up for sale!
