Post-Listing Update: Bucephalus was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.

It’s unfair to even call this a Bonneville – think of it as an unique, high-tech frame with a vintage Bonnie engine.

Bucephalus - Triumph Bonneville Custom - Bikecraft Cover

Built by Loaded Gun Custom, this incredible bike features aircraft-grade aluminum that utilizes the engine as a partially-stressed member of the frame. Other tidbits include a chromoly swingarm, and carbon rods that support the seat. In addition, the engine has had some work done, including Nikasil-lined cylinders, K&N air filters, and custom exhausts pipes that almost look like they could be part of the frame. For more information, check out this profile of the bike from Silodrome.

Bucephalus is actually going to be a series of 8 bikes, but this is the prototype – whether that adds or subtracts value is up to you. Also included is Race Tech suspension, Beringer brakes with a Brembo rear caliper, and plenty of documentation from shows and displays (including a “Ton Up” display by Michael Lichter and Paul d’Orleans).
