The R100CS Last Edition was sold to me as a runner that didn’t need anything, and this was a rare case where the seller was accurate! I rode it around for a couple of weeks as-is to make sure everything was alright, but in my head I knew the Don Vesco fairing had to go.

I alluded to this in a post a few months ago, but I recently came in possession of a BMW R100CS Last Edition. I realized that I hadn’t gotten into this after a commenter on my Bimota Tesi 3D post asked, “how about a classic bike next?” Oops. So, here’s how it started!

After writing up the fantastic MZ Skorpion Replica a few days ago, I realized that I hadn’t updated y’all on what happened with my temporary ownership of a MZ with the same Yamaha-built 660cc thumper. It’s a quick story – as planned, I sold it!

In a couple of weeks, Iconic is hosting our annual 2-day track event at Laguna Seca – will I see you there? I plan on riding my Tesi 3D up from Los Angeles and will hopefully do a session or two with it, but I’ll be spending most of my time on my Ninja 400 track bike.

I’m currently in North Carolina for the launch of the updated 2022 Yamaha MT-10. What would you like to know about it?

A few weeks ago, I picked up a Bimota Tesi 3D Final Edition – and it’s the first motorcycle I’ve ever bought with zero miles on it. That meant I had to break it in.

In my recent post about buying the Bimota Tesi 3D, I noted that I still have my BMW HP2 Megamoto. But I haven’t kept you guys updated on the German, so let’s change that!

So…I went a little crazy last week.

Today I’m off to the launch of the new XSR900, which I’m excited about because it theoretically offers the performance of the updated MT-09 (which is very good) without the styling of the updated MT-09 (which is very bad). Whether or not you find the XSR attractive is a different question, but I’m glad to see there’s an styling option …

A few weeks ago, I mentioned that I had recently bought a Brutale 1000 RR out of MV Agusta’s press fleet. Well…I have the opportunity to buy something quirky that’s coming from Australia and I need some space and some money, so the Brutale needs a new home.

Over at Iconic: Adidas and Kawasaki recently partnered up to release a Ninja-themed set of sneakers that they call the ZX8000. Knowing how much my partner Adam loves Ninjas, I had to get him a pair…and then I bought myself a pair just to put on display in my office.

On Thursday evening, the Petersen’s newest exhibit debuts…and it’s all about electric motorcycles! I’ll be there for the opening party – will you?
