Designed by Carl Neracher in 1918, the Ner-A-Car was sold as a cheap automobile alternative. Approximately 10,000 were build at sold in the US, and another 6,500 were built and sold in England under license. Here’s one of the latter.
2000 Confederate Confederado
Confederate Motorcycles are turning heads nowadays with some crazy style and hefty power. 15 years ago, they had the power down, but the styling was still a bit too close to what Harley was putting out at the time.
1 of 3 – The Enterprise
Post-Sale Update: This Enterprise sold for $25,000…to a Bike-urious reader in France! It’s going to take a while but I’ll try to get more details about the story when possible. Obviously, this is going to need a full restoration, but what a piece of motorcycling history! The Enterprise was the vision of Orley Raymond Courtney, an incredible designer who sadly …
$150K – 1917 Henderson Four Factory Racer
Looks like Heroes Motorcycles has performed a full restoration on what’s claimed to have been a factory racer Henderson Four. Not much information is given, but it’s powered by a 1,100 cc (67 cubic inch) engine. Wish there was more documentation of the restoration given, but I’m pretty much featuring this for the shock value of the sticker price.
1971 Rupp Roadster 2
Post-Listing Update: Despite 14 bids on eBay, this Rupp Roadster did not meet reserve at $1,536. In 1971, Rupp Manufacturing was flying high. The …
American in Italy – 1916 Reading Standard
It might not be obvious from the visual condition of this bike, but it’s a one-kick bike that’s ridden every weekend!
1964 Sears Cheyenne
As most of you know, Sears offered motorcycles that you could order to get shipped to your door in crates (branded as Allstate, made by Puch), awaiting your assembly. Here’s one of the smaller ones, a 60cc Sears Cheyenne.
1967 Aermacchi 350 Road Racer
6-5 Update: This bike is back up for sale with a much more reasonable BIN of $9,900 here on eBay. Post-Listing Update: This Aermacchi did not get any love at $13,900. The Aermacchi 350 Sprint was part of a joint venture with Harley-Davidson, created when H-D bought 50% of Aermacchi to help them compete in the small bike market. Originally …
1936 Harley-Davidson RLD
Produced between ’32 and ’36, the RL series of Harley-Davidsons were released in the middle of the Great Depression. Here’s one that looks absolutely fantastic (assuming that you’re like and me and that you love patina).
30″ Hubless – 2006 Harley-Davidson Road King Custom
View Post1941 Indian 741 Flat Tracker
The Indian Scout 741 was used by the US Army, though the 500cc V-Twin was never good enough to beat out Harley’s WLA as the Army’s bike of choice. Instead it was used primarily by couriers and scouts. Here’s one that has shed its’ military background in the process of becoming a flat track racer.
Double Trouble – 1942 Harley-Davidson WLA
View Post90 Miles – 1973 Harley-Davidson Sportster
A few days ago, I featured a modern Sportster with a retro paint job that I really enjoyed:
