With the iconic blue/silver paint and the jelly mold tank, this 85 Sport aped the styling of Ducati’s factory racers and presumably stole the heart of many an Italian schoolboy. The entry level OHV pushrod Ducati, it was sometimes called the Mini Elite due to the similar styling cues.
2003 Ducati 749 Custom
The 749 wasn’t universally loved when it came out (though some people think it’s aging well) – do you think this custom improved on the original?
Plain Jane – 1948 Harley-Davidson UL Flathead
I figured after the $1.4 million cruiser, I owed you a cruiser that would make you smile instead of laugh. Hopefully this does the trick, because I have a soft spot for reliable riders that look like they’ve just gone through hell. This UL, named Plain Jane, has been ridden from Florida all over the country and it sure looks …
$1.4 Million – Sturgis Motorcycles #001
I was just having a conversation with a reader this weekend about the most expensive bike (asking price) that I’ve ever featured on Bike-urious. While asking prices are borderline irrelevant as they don’t have to be based in reality, it’s still an amusing metric to chat about. Before today, it was the California Hot Rod – the seller wanted a …

1948 Vincent Rapide Series B
Post Listing Update: This Rapide did not meet reserve at $65,000. The seller then relisted the bike for $69,500, and it got no interest at that price. The baby brother to the legendary Black Shadow, the Vincent Rapide was sold from 1936-55 in 3 distinct ‘Series’. The middle run was the Series B, which ended in 1948.

1988 Husqvarna XC430
View PostIn Canada – 1975 Kawasaki H1 Racer
My time at Bonneville has got me all giddy about vintage race bikes, so let’s enjoy this ‘turn key’ racer that’s VRRA and AHRMA legal.

1986 Moto Morini 350 K2
The offering for another Moto Morini K2 for sale means I get to share the story with you of Herdan Corporation of Pennsyvlania, which used to be the US importer of Moto Morini. In the 80s, they offered an annual program called the “Moto Morini European Tour” – similar to the European Delivery program that automobile manufacturers like BMW offer …
Needs Some Work – 1974 Benelli Phantom 2C
The listing for this bike is seriously inadequate, but this bike is so rare that I’m letting it slide.
