The successor of the Hurricane, the CBR600F2 was considered to be quite innovative when released in 1991. This example stands out as its been ridden a healthy 64,000-plus miles!
The 599cc motor in the F2 produced 84.5 horsepower at the rear wheel through a 6-speed transmission and wet weight was 470 pounds. This bike absolutely dominated the AMA under Miggy Duhamel, and it was successful on the street as well. It made excellent, usable power and weighed less than the competition – it took 4 years for someone to come up with a credible challenge (the Ninja ZX-6R). The seller of this example notes that it “is a great example mechanically. Starts right up, rides amazing. Engine is quiet and sounds amazing. Honestly might be smoother than my 1995 F3 with 40,000 less miles.” It apparently has so many miles because the previous owner was a cameraman with the US Cycling Federation. It appears to be stock with the exception of a D&D exhaust and a tail tidy.
