Launched in 1976 as the big kahuna of the RD line, the RD400 was known as a hooligan’s bike. Here’s one in “very nice condition” up north in Alaska.

View Post1972 Hodaka Wombat
Found in the 60s, Hodaka was a joint Japanese/American company that produced about $150k bikes between ’64 and ’78. Some riders believe that Hodaka started the trail bike revolution. Others may disagree with that, but no one can dispute that with names like the Road Toad, Dirt Squirt, Super Rat, and Combat Wombat, Hodaka had some of the best names …
Guess That Bike – Revealed!
There were a few good guesses on yesterday’s “Guess That Bike” through this site and facebook, but the winner was Wynkin de Worde, who used to own a similar bike as his first motorcycle. That led him to the correct guess – a Suzuki M15!
Not Orange – 1984 Laverda RGS
Post Listing Update: This RGS did not meet reserve despite 15 bids up to $8,500. A true sport tourer, the Laverda RGS was one of the last manifestations of the big triple, though it was much tamer than the beloved Jota unit thanks to different crankshaft timing and rubber engine mounts. Some felt that the engine lost a bit of …
Needs Some Work – 1957 TWN Tessy
Here’s a Tessy scooter from ‘the other Triumph’ that the seller calls “well used.”
1970 Moto Guzzi Nuovo Falcone
Before Guzzi became famous for their venerable V-Twin, they were known for the flat single found in the Airone/Falcone. The Nuovo Falcone was the imaginatively-named successor to the Falcone, produced between ’69 and ’76.

1987 Suzuki GSX-R 750
Post Sale Update: This GSX-R sold for $5,000 after 20 bids on eBay. A instant classic sportbike, the Suzuki GSX-R 750 was originally introduced in 1985 and debuted with a win in the 24-hour World Endurance Championships in Le Mans – it was a bit of revelation, people thought it had the power of a 1000 in the weight of …
1972 Honda CB750 Cafe Racer
Post-Listing Update: This CB750 was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown. I’ve heard many comments in the past that you guys/gals like seeing high dollar custom builds because it’s interesting to see how the market values it. Here’s a CB750 that’s seen $20,000 in documented work…but how much of that will come through in the sale price?
1955 NSU Superfox
Post Sale Update: This Superfox sold for $6,000 after 22 bids on eBay. When this bike was produced, NSU was the world’s largest motorcycle producer – but the Superfox was one of their rarer models, with just 4,130 ever built. Here’s one of the few examples that made it over to the US, and it looks good!
51 Miles – 1965 Ducati Monza 250
With just 51 miles on the odometer, this 250 Monza is currently functioning as art in dry storage. Expect to give it a service and a new battery, but this is a great place to start. Offered by Cycle Therapy, this bike has a custom tank and clubman-style bars. I hope someone paints the tank and brings this bike back …
