In 1984 Honda released two versions of the VF1000 Interceptor. Both models were very similar and based on the current Honda race bikes. The VF1000F was the more modest of the two builds, and the VF1000R was considered the fastest production motorcycle on earth. The VF1000F was only produced for one year. The VF1000F boasted a 113 HP, 998 cc …
Cafe’d or Stock – Pick a Honda S90
Here are two examples of my beloved S90. Both have recent engine rebuilds but the owners had different ideas on cosmetics. They’re within $400 of each other – which one would you have?
1 of 300 – 2007 MV Agusta F4 1000 Senna

2008 BMW HP2 Megamoto
Post Listing Update: This Megamoto got up to $8,600 after 15 bids on eBay, but that wasn’t enough to meet reserve. Only 107 of the Megamotos made it into the US, and one of them lives 10 buildings down on my street. I can’t stop staring at it when I go by, which is why I’ve been drooling at this …
Dunstall Kit – 1974 Norton Commando 850
By the 1970s, Paul Dunstall’s business had grown to the point that he was shipping entire bikes directly to dealers in the US, in addition to producing kits for specific models. Though by this point in his career he nearly had a 50/50 split of output between Honda and Norton, he’s much more famous for his work with the latter. …
Massive Innovation – 1982 Honda CX500 TC Turbo
For those who are fans of Honda Motorcycles, you will know that the entire CX line brought massive innovation to the motorcycling world. In 1985, Cagiva was the biggest motorcycle manufacturer in Italy – though they were primarily moving small street bikes and mopeds. That year, they acquired Ducati to increase their presence in the big bike …
1993 Ducati 888SPO
SPO – it stands for Sport Production Omologato, and it was a limited homologation production version of the 888 built for the American market per a request from Fast By Ferraci so they could race in AMA Superbike. It turned out to be a good idea, as the bike won both the AMA Superbike and World Superbike championships in 1993.
American Eagle in Canada – 1969 Laverda 750GT

1981 Kawasaki GPz550
The GPz550 was introduced in 1980, and it was quite a departure from what riders were used to getting from manufacturers in the middleweight class – some even felt it was the spiritual successor to Yamaha’s legendary RD series.
