Contest Intermission – Rizoma Design Challenge

In Intermissions by AbhiLeave a Comment

Submissions are in for the Rizoma Design Challenge, a competition where they asked “designers, engineers, and students to show us the future of motorcycling” in two categories: motorcycle design and aftermarket product design. Now it’s your time to participate by voting on the winners, because the final say is split equally between public votes and a panel of industry experts.

Before you vote, here’s what the entrants were asked to do:

Motorcycle Design

Choose one product from the Rizoma Universal MIRRORS, GRIPS, or FLUID TANK Parts Catalog to use as a creative basis for the motorcycle of the future. The design should incorporate both material and design elements from the chosen ‘inspiration’ piece you choose. While not required to qualify, special consideration will be given for those that incorporate the inspiration component in the final design.

Product Design

Create a digital rendering of the aftermarket part of the future. Designs may be new inventions, or a fresh take on standard parts (footpegs, mirrors, etc), but must follow the Rizoma Design Challenge Brief.

Winners of each class will get up to $5,000 in product prizes, and the best student submission will have the opportunity to intern at the Rizoma global headquarters in Italy!

Voters will automatically be entered for the chance to win a $500 prize pack from Rizoma, REV’IT, and NEXX. Click here to vote!
