Contest Intermission – The Wrench – Scout Bobber Build Off

In Intermissions by AbhiLeave a Comment

Over the last couple of years, Indian has created two modification contests for their models where the entrants were dealerships. Here are the results from Project Chieftain and Project Scout. This year they’re mixing it up – they’re looking for “three non-professional builders who do not make a living building and customizing motorcycles. Indian Motorcycle is looking for wrenchers who do it for the passion, not the pay.” Think you’ve got what it takes to customize the new Scout Bobber?

I took Baby Jack and a Scout Bobber to Vegas last month. The bike is gorgeous but when it comes to the actual riding experience I much prefer the regular Scout. Someday I’ll get my full review up, I promise. Update: here’s that review!

Interested builders can throw their name in the ring between March 15-30, and the top three vote-getters will get a 2018 Indian Scout Bobber and $10,000 budget to make it something special. The winner will get a spread in Hot Bike magazine (if Bonnier hasn’t killed it by then) and an additional $10,000 – but they get to keep it for themselves.

For more information on how to submit yourself, head on over to Indian’s website. Anyone that turns it into a standard will have my vote…but that might be the only one you get. Good luck!
