Greg Hageman has made quite a name for himself by customizing Yamaha V-twins, and his work with Viragos deserves special praise. I’ve featured one before, but this one differs as Greg’s inspiration was a Yamaha DT360.
This bike has made the rounds on the usual internet sites, including this story on BikeEXIF. It’s also been featured in the 2013 Motorcycles as Art Exhibit at Sturgis and the book Cafe Racers: Speed, Style, and Ton-Up Culture.
The seller originally found the bike on BikeEXIF, which is where he “fell in love” with it. He was able to acquire it from the original owner, and he’s enjoyed it for approximately 4-5 years. Highlights of the original build include a bump in displacement to 1,000cc, Mikuni VM34 carbs, Laser Jama exhaust, Excel wheels with Continental TKC80 tires, Benelli Mojave tank, and more.
Find this custom Yamaha for sale in North Central Kansas for $8,900 or best offer here on Craigslist.

The seller supplied photos are from the BikeEXIF shoot – it would have been nice if he or she had included a couple of originals as well.
