Created in France by Georges Martin in the 1970s, Moto Martin quickly made a name for themselves by developing high-spec frames to be used with production motors of the time – similar to what the folks at Bimota were doing in Italy. Most of his work was designed around Japanese motors, starting with a Honda CB750 and including other famous engines like the four cylinders in Kawasaki’s Z1 and Suzuki GSX1100…plus the legendary six cylinder from the Honda CBX. Here’s a rare opportunity to snag a Martin with a Honda CB1100 inline four!
I’ve only had the pleasure of featuring one other Moto Martin here on Bike-urious – a beautiful Suzuki-powered creation written up by my buddy and old contributor Tim Huber. He goes more into the history of Moto Martin (which shut down in 1986 after building roughly 5,800 frame kits) if you’d like to read more about them.
This example was previously owned by Henry Cole and the selling dealership doesn’t have much else to add beyond that it has 28,500 miles. It is exempt from some taxes/registration fees as it’s considered Historic and it “starts, runs, and rides well.”
Find this Martin-framed Honda for sale in Brierley Hill, England for £16,995 (roughly $23,045) here on Car and Classic.
