Post-Sale Update: After 39 bids on eBay, this BMW R67/2 sold for $17,400.

Alright, I know I just said I didn’t like the Fireflake Red of the Commando I just featured, but there’s something about the red on classic BMWs that just does it for me. The R67/2 featured a 594cc boxer twin that produced 26 horsepower and was capable of 93 miles per hour. This specific R67/2 (VIN: 615739) has under 2,000 miles on a decade-old restoration. Everything works and it’s been converted to 12 volt, but the seller says that in his decade of ownership, the bike has gone from completely spotless and “unimpeachable” to a little bit dirty. Works for me – now you won’t feel terrible when you take it out for a spin! Personally, I’d lose the headlight eyebrow and the rear luggage rack and enjoy. But hey, it’s not my money. And as a semi-related bonus – here’s possibly the coolest R67/2 you’ll ever see – Georg Meier’s works German Trophy Team bike used to compete in the ISDT.
