Post Sale Update: The new owner says that they purchased this for $4,000 on Craigslist in Los Gatos, California.
Valentino Rossi placed 4th in the US round of the 2007 MotoGP Championship at Laguna Seca. According to the seller, this scoot was what Rossi rode in the pits that year.
The C3 is a 50cc scooter that doesn’t really stand out, but if the seller’s story is true then this could be an interesting option for a Rossi collector. It’d be nice to see some sort of proof from the seller – I wasn’t able to find a picture of Rossi on this through a quick google search. The seller says that it is pristine and that it “belongs in a restaurant somewhere in Italy has a showpiece but, can be yours if the price is right.”
