Round Tank – 1925 BSA Model B

In England, Vintage by AbhiLeave a Comment

One of BSA’s most popular models in the 20s, the Model B was also affectionately known as the “Round Tank”. It was effective personal transport, as it was reliable and easy to ride.

It was powered by a 250cc sidevalve engine that went through a two speed gearbox. This example was acquired in 2012 by the seller to run in the 2014 Cannonball, but unfortunately he/she wasn’t able to run the event. This bike uses a ’25 frame, engine, and tank with ’27 wheels, brakes, and transmission (3 speed as opposed to the 1925’s 2 speed).

The bike is claimed to run well for a 90 year old motorcycle – the crank and bearings have been rebuilt and the seller installed a new piston, valves, and clutch disc. LED lighting has been added, there’s no charging system, and the bike is capable of cruising at 40 miles per hour.
