Storz Performancesells kits to turn 2004+ Sportsters into a cafe racer-styled motorcycle. Here’s an example that’s claimed to be a show quality – it has 900 stress-free miles since the build was completed.
The kit from Storz inclues a hand formed aluminum gas tank and fiberglass tail with custom Saddlemen seat pads. In addition, this bike received a chain drive conversion, Ohlins rear shocks, fork brace, Roland Sands clipons, a PIAA headlight, and more. It’s not just a cosmetic revamp, though – this bike has received a 1250cc big bore kit and other engine work so that it puts down ‘approximately 103 RWHP’. I think it needs some paint and the headlight has to go, but otherwise I like what I see here.

Highlights of the kit include an aluminum…

The XLCR is one of my favorite Harley-Davidson motorcycles, if only for the sharp departure it took from the company's usual offerings. With that said, it couldn't compete in the market for varying reasons. There weren't many made (about 3,000), meaning the remaining ones are highly collectible. In 1987, 9…
