On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter – Premiere at the Dolby Theater

Despite the fact that I live in Los Angeles, I’m not exactly one who enjoys going to the theater or even watching movies in general. But when a friend spotted me a couple of tickets to the premiere of On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter, I figured I was obligated to check it out. It’s not everyday where they close down Hollywood Blvd and turn it into motorcycle parking!

I took a little walk to check out the hundreds of bikes parked right out in front of the Dolby:

So enjoy a few shots of the bikes that came to the event:

Alright, time to head in:

A few featured bikes outside of the front “door”:

Seen enough marketing materials yet?

Grabbing tickets:

Yesterday, Bike EXIF featured a beautiful custom KTM 450 SX-F that will be auctioned off to benefit the Kurt Caselli Foundation. It also is featured in the movie, and was brought into the theater for photo ops:

Showtime:

Despite the fact that the movie started 25 minutes late, it was quite enjoyable. Think of it as several short films, some of which come together at the end. You’ll get to recount Marquez’s glorious run in MotoGP, the success of Travis Pastrana, amateur ice racers in Canada, and plenty more.

Honestly, the first bit about Robbie Maddison is almost worth the price of admission by itself – everything else is just gravy. It’s simple: if you like motorcycles, you’ll enjoy this movie. Just like Why We Ride, it makes you want to get on a bike and just go riding.

Bonus 1190RX action on the way out:
