“Perfect for your next post-apocalyptic motorcycle get together, or Mad Max sequel.” That’s how the seller of this fascinating custom sidecar sums up what could be your next ride!
Per the seller, “the frame and engine are stock from a 1999 Suzuki GSX-R750 (135 horsepower, 60 foot-pounds of torque), though it also has a Power Commander. The build took several years and was completed in 2008. The instrument is a Vapor unit that displays speed, and RPM data. Mileage is currently displayed as approximately 863, but actual mileage is unknown, though estimated at less than 10,000 total. This is fun to ride and always draws a crowd. However, it is definitely not for a novice.
The wheels are spun aluminum units from RC Components, with custom hubs on the front wheel. The triple clamps are CNC machined billet parts made to accommodate the wide front wheel. The front brakes are mounted to a mechanical anti-dive system. The sidecar wheel also has a brake. The forks are GSXR units, re-valved and re-sprung by Computrack Boston. The rear swingarm is from a 2001 GSXR to accommodate the wide wheel. Rear and sidecar shocks are Penske Racing Shocks units. The sidecar wheel has approximately 2.5″ of travel. Front and rear tires are 205/45R17 car tires, sidecar is a 130/80R17 dual-sport motorcycle tire.

All body parts are made from aluminum diamond plate, while the sidecar chassis is made from a combination of CNC machined components connecting 2×4 aluminum tubing.

The fuel tank and battery reside beneath the sidecar for weight distribution.
The trunk has quite a bit of space and includes a laptop bag holding a shop manual & tools. The trunk locks with keyed-alike padlocks and there is a third lock on the same key that can be used as a disc lock. There is a luggage rack if you need to carry more stuff.

The sidecar seat is a generic tractor or forklift replacement unit and is waterproof. There are handholds for the passenger for use during spirited riding. There is also cup holder that will hold an extra-large hot or large iced Dunkin Donuts coffee.”

Several spare parts are included:
– additional set of Computrack prepared forks
– spare rear or front wheel, though with a different pattern (hubs would need to be swapped)
– engine
– set of injectors
– ECU
– coils
