180 Claimed HP – 1984 Kawasaki GPz750 Turbo

Post Sale Update: This GPz Turbo sold for $7,100 after 19 bids on eBay.

According to the seller, this custom Kawi has over $20,000 invested in it – at one point it had a “stage 5” turbo that led to 235 horsepower, but that blower needs a rebuilt so the bike is currently equipped with a “stage 2” turbo that makes 180.

This thing must be terrifying at full chat. The motor and snail were built by Mike Chestnut of Horsepower Unlimited, who also owned a turbo’d GPz750 that made it into Sport Rider. In addition to the prodigious power, this example (VIN: JKAZXDE14EB501918) is said to have a new old stock gas tank, Corbin seat, 530 chain conversion, Works shock, Progressive fork springs, a brake upgrade I can’t identify, GPz1100 fuel injectors, MotoGP Werks exhaust, and plenty more. I just wish the seller’s photos were a bit better.
