You don’t normally think of an Ariel Square Four as the platform for a British custom, but this bike was given a 2.5 year long frame off restoration and turned into a ‘cafe racer’ in the process. I’m not entirely thrilled with the results – but what do you think?
According to the seller, every part of the restoration was imported from the UK and he/she has full documentation of it, including additional ‘vintage documents, advertisements, and catalogs.’ The bike runs like new, the four pipes look fantastic, and the color choice is interesting, but as an overall package it’s not making me smile. I was just surprised to see someone restore and then customize a Square Four!
