1961 BMW R50S with Steib LS200

In 3 Wheels, Germany by AbhiLeave a Comment

The R50S was the little brother of the legendary R69S, and it was a relatively rare motorcycle in BMW’s history as just 1,634 were produced 1960 and 1962. This example was restored in 2012 and it’s been paired with a beautiful color-matched Steib LS200 sidecar.

Since the work was performed, this example (VIN: 564153) has covered 1,375 miles. Everything is said to work and it’s highly original with “only a few reproduction parts”, though the seller does not specify exactly which parts those are. The seller acquired this rig from noted classic BMW expert Duane Asherman and he has run it with and without the sidecar attached, which is why the sale will include the tires, springs, and hydraulic steering damper that are utilized for solo riding.

It’s worth going through the listing just because the photos are gorgeous, so find this BMW/Steib combo for sale in Sacramento, California for $29,000 here on Craigslist.
