10-18-20 Update: Four years later, Robert VanSlyke notes in the comments that this REX is again up for sale. The asking price is down to $2,500 and it’s moved from Idaho to Arizona. It’s titled and still a runner – find it in Cave Creek, Arizona here on Facebook Marketplace.

9-12-16 Update: John K notes that this REX is back up for sale. It’s made its way down to Texas and instead of the original $3,500 BIN you can snag it for $2,750…or try the unmet opening bid of $2,230

Post Listing Update: This REX got no action at the BIN of $3,500.

Here’s a bike I’ve never heard of before, which means I’m obligated to share it with you! Meet the REX KL35, also known as the CycloThrust.

REX was a German firm based out of Munich. They made mopeds and bicycle engines between ’48 and ’64, presumably making this bike one of the last ones out of the factory. It’s hard to find information on this bike, but it’s powered by a 50cc two stroke which was paired with two carbs and dual exhaust. This specific example (VIN: 455061) isn’t cosmetically perfect, but it’s claimed to run nice and the electrical components work.

Find it for sale in Boise, Idaho with a BIN of $3,500 or best offer
