As Bill K (who sent this tip in) described it, this is a “beautiful T-bolt with enough “uncorrectness” to keep the bike show riff-raff out of the bidding pool, and some good honest ride-em style upgrades.” Said upgrades include a roller bearing conversion, powder coated frame, some rechroming, Boyer ignition, and more.
As noted earlier, this bike isn’t 100% correct – it’s not numbers matching (although the engine and frame are both from 1969) and the side decals and tank are from different years. But if you’re more about riding than showing, find this Thunderbolt for sale in Plymouth, Michigan for $4,950 here on Craigslist.
