Post-Listing Update: This 750S America was pulled off of eBay, final sale price unknown.

Introduced in 1975, the MV Agusta 750S America was built in response to our demand for more power. Bike magazine called it “one of the most dramatic-looking bikes made, the real stuff of legend.” For those of you with wallets that are also the stuff of legend, here’s your chance to get one of the most important MV’s ever built. Jay Leno called it “one of the most iconic motorcycle of the post-war era” in this JLG episode:

To get this extra power, the engine was bored out to 789cc, yielding a claimed 75 horsepower which was good for a top speed of 135 miles per hour. This bike was a little porky at over 500 pounds, which made some people consider it to be more of a sport-tourer than an all-out sports bike. But in ’77, when you could get a Bonneville for $1,400, this beauty would set you back $6,000.

This example (VIN: 221017) has just 2,770 miles and is titled in New York. It’s claimed to be “original, unrestored, and in beautiful condition.” It’s gorgeous and sounds amazing (refer to 5:00 of the JLG video above if you want to hear it) – what more could you want?
