The successor of the uber-limited HB1 (one of which just sold at Bonhams Grand Palais for $72,103), the Bimota HB2 replicated the formula of Honda engine inside a Bimota frame. This time Bimota used the engine from the CB900F, and produced a much more reasonable number of examples – 193 of them.

Per usual, Bimota used high spec parts like Campagnolo wheels, Ceriani forks, and De Carbon shocks to complement the in-house frame. The bike was 441 pounds – a whopping 70 less than the CB900F. One magazine was able to hit 138 miles per hour in a period test and the handling put nearly every other bike to shame.

This example (VIN: HB000026) is #26 (surprise) of 193. It has 15,000 miles according to the seller, though the pictures show it closer to 13,800, and it’s claimed to be in better than average shape though there are some scratches and scuff marks. The bike has new tires and had a recent service including a fluid flush and carb maintenance.
