A claimed “barn find” that was freshened up over the last 8 months, this CB650SC has under 2,000 miles.
1982 was when Honda replaced the “Custom” with the CB650SC, also known as the Nighthawk 650. It was offered in the US from ’82-’85, and the first year was the only one for the SOHC motor.
Per the photo up top, it looks like this bike may have been an entrant in the 2020 Modern Classics show. The seller says that he replaced the tires, battery, master cylinder chain, and some chrome parts, and that the front brakes have been “gone over.” The exhaust and paint are original, the seller rates the later at 9.75 out of 10. The only issue seems to be that it will need new fork seals.
