Right now you can walk into a Honda or Yamaha dealership and get a modern Africa Twin or Super Tenere. But in the US, the same couldn’t have been said a couple of decades ago. You can occasionally find ’90s examples of the AT and ST thanks to grey market imports, but the latter is much harder to source. Here’s a beautiful XTZ750 Super Tenere that’s currently registered in California!

The 750 was built between 1989 and 1994 and it was quite popular in Europe. The parallel twin motor features 5-valve heads and produces 69 horsepower / 49 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to a 6.9 gallon tank and comfortable riding position, the Super Tenere was a great option for solo touring and light duty dirt. This example has 45,500 miles and it’s currently registered in CA as a non-op. The sale includes the owner’s manual, tool kit, and two keys. It was given an engine-in-frame restoration in 2017 with a service, rebuilt suspension by Super Plush, all fluids, new TKC80 tires, new battery, rebuilt calipers, braided brake lines, and more. Aftermarket parts include a Remus carbon fiber slipon exhaust, aftermarket handlebars, custom paint, and heated grips that haven’t been installed yet. Frankly, this thing is cool as hell, and they’re very hard to find in America. The seller is a dedicated motorcycle fanatic who works in the industry, and impressively he’s the original owner, having bought the bike new in 1993!
