1993 Honda CR500 Ice Racer

The Honda CR500 was a monster of a dirt bike, with the two-stroke engine putting out about 55 horsepower that were arguably difficult to control. The bike weighed 247 pounds, and it was terrifying enough that MXA magazine called it Mr. Hyde compared to the Dr. Jekyll of a much newer Honda CRF450, even though the latter is no slouch.

This CR500 has been converted into an ice racer, with a lowered suspension, FMF exhaust, ASV levers, Skidmore tires, Moose tire wraps, Bykan spoke wraps, Slide Racing tire protectors, and more. It has just 10 hours and it claimed to run ‘awesome.’ I can’t remember the last time I even saw more than a few square feet of ice at a time, but this looks like it would be a blast.

Find this Honda CR500 Ice Racer for sale in Alplaus, New York for $3,250 here on Vintage Flat Tracker (you’ll need to scroll down to about a quarter of the page, it was listed on October 7th).
