Post Sale Update: This Daytona sold for $15,100 after 19 bids on eBay in Timnath, Colorado.
Earlier this week, I featured a red ’93 Daytona with a sky-high asking price, the original MSO, and just 922 miles. We don’t know what the asking price on this one is, but at least it’s something you wouldn’t feel bad riding. In fact, with mods like a Staintune exhaust and part of the factory A kit (velocity stacks and the unlocked ECU), it’d be a sin not to!
This example (VIN: ZGUKABKA4PM200015) is offered by a seller who’s owned three Daytonas in the past – he says it sounds “better than any of the 12 Guzzis that I have owned in my lifetime. You can hear it breathe “IN” and breathe “OUT”, kind of hard to explain!”
Everything is said to work and there’s a fair amount of recent work – including being stripped down to detail the chassis. The timing belts were changed, the right cylinder head was sent to Cycle Garden to improve oil flow, there are new tires, spark plugs, and wheel bearings, and the wheels have been powdercoated white. The sale includes two keys and a spare Guzzi blank, a repair manual for the Daytona (as well as the MG-01), receipts, documentation, and a pit stand. There’s just a couple of minor cosmetic issues and the seller suggests that the next owner bleeds the brakes, but overall it looks like a great example that’s been well taken care of – the seller’s “body cannot handle extended sport bike rides any longer” so this Guzzi just needs a new owner who will keep it active.
