Post Sale Update – this GSPD sold for $7,751.51 after 8 bids on eBay.

1995 was the last year of the airhead GSPD (Paris Dakar), and BMW named it the Classic. Approximately 70 black examples were brought over that year before BMW debuted the oilhead R1100GS. The last time I featured one for sale, a reader/contributor picked it up and rode it a couple of thousand miles home. Here’s hoping someone will do the same with this beauty.

This example (VIN: WB1048906S0048348) has 22,260 miles and it’s the recipient of a rebuild that went down to the frame – which was powdercoated. Per the seller, the bottom end of the motor was taken apart and reassembled, as was the transmission. During that inspection he noted that it has the circlip installed (check out this video if you don’t know what I’m referring to). Except for the tank, the bodywork has been repainted, and the wheels were soda blasted. A lot of work has been done to this bike, mostly with OEM parts. Some aftermarket upgrades include Progressive front fork springs and rear shock, Enduralast 450W alternator, and a Corbin single seat.
