I sometimes fear that in my quest to find you interesting and quirky bikes for sale, I sometimes lose sight of motorcycles that are actually…affordable. So I’m going to try to make a better point of finding quality examples of more “common” motorcycles that can be acquired and enjoyed by us normal folks. The ’99 900S is the best of the ‘old-school’ carb’d Monsters. You got larger valve heads, upgraded cylinder studs, and an aluminum swingarm. Plus, the “S” model granted the rider with full floating discs and rear caliper, carbon fenders and side panels, as well as adjustable forks and some few other extras. The engine produced 74 horsepower, which was enough for a top speed of about 125 miles per hour.
This specific Ducati Monster 900S (VIN: ZDM1RC4N3XB020165) is close to stock, though the seller has made some small changes, including a MIVV GP low mounted exhaust, Corbin seat, clear turn signals from a ’12 848, and CRG bar-end mirrors.
