2 Special John Player Livery Norton Commandos

I’ve always been a big fan of the John Player livery on the Commando 850, and today I’ve got two interesting examples for you to peruse. One’s been heavily modified, the other has barely been touched…

First, a BRAND NEW 850 Mark III.

John Player Livery Norton Commando - Left Side

It apparently has either 1 or 10 miles and has only been run at the factory for testing/QC. It was bought by the seller from a Norton dealership in Oklahoma, and the seller intended for it to be a collectible, hence the lack of miles. It still has the factory break-in sticker covering the speedo:

Or, maybe you’re looking for a John Player that’s had a bit of work done to it? In that case, feast your eyes on this example, which features a road race tank, fastback tail, and custom seat. Mechanical work includes a 34mm Mikuni carb, and a fresh top end with 0.020 Hepolites installed last spring.
