2000 Bimota SB8R

In Italy, Sport by AbhiLeave a Comment

It’s one of the more easy to find Bimotas, but in the world of exotic Italians, that doesn’t mean much. The Bimota SB8R was powered by the wonderful V-Twin from a Suzuki TL(but then pumped up to 133 horsepower by the Italians) and was capable of hitting 170mph.

You also got top notch components such as an Ohlins shock, Paioli forks, Brembo brakes, and Antera wheels, but most reviewers seemed to think that it wasn’t a significant improvement over the TL – and it was slower than a R1. But for those who wanted exclusivity (and had money)- and features like an all carbon tail that doesn’t even have a frame to save 5 pounds, this was the only choice. Bimota SB8R - Front Right

This specific Bimota SB8R (VIN: ZESSB8R0XYR000048) has just 3,297 miles and is claimed to be in great shape. It is #48 of the 50 that were imported in 2,000, and was apparently owned by JT Nesbitt (the guy who designed the Confederate Hellcat). The only flaw seems to be a small crack in the lower left fairing, but it has an aftermarket Termi exhaust and Rizoma reservoirs.
