Post Sale Update: This Rosso Corsa sold for $6,700 after 32 bids on eBay.

For the second straight day, we’ve got a 1-in-50 Guzzi. But this time it’s featuring red bodywork instead of a red frame. Based on the previous generation of the venerable LeMans, this bike was the pinnacle of a model known for classic Italian cafe racer lines and the bulletproof, well-known MG V-Twin engine. Only 50 of the Rosso Corsa editions were brought to the United States. Designed as MG’s top of the line sportsbike at the time, it came equipped with plenty of trick parts like Ohlins suspension front and rear, and Brembo calipers.

Despite the trick parts, the handling wasn’t really what you’d hope for. Part of this was due to the significant weight – nearly 500 pounds dry. The 90 horsepower out of the 1100cc V-Twin was enough, but not enough to move this bike like you’d expect from the looks. With that said, we’re all about bikes that stand out, and the Rosso Corsa absolutely does. Understand that this isn’t a track bike, and you’ll have a great time. Want to learn more?
