2004 Honda CBR125R

In the US, a small learner bike means some sort of 250cc bike. But internationally, learners often start on a bike like the Honda CBR125R – a reliable mount that’s perfect for teaching a beginner the joys of riding a bike. More importantly – it’s nearly impossible to find these things in the US!

Honda CBR125R - Gauges

The 125cc engine is good for 13 horsepower and a top speed of 70 miles per hour. But top speed numbers are irrelevant for a bike like this. It weighs about 80 pounds less than a Ninja 250, and it comes with great brakes. The transmission is from a XR125 dirtbike so there’s a large gap between 1st and 2nd in the gearbox, but otherwise this bike is solid. I just don’t know who’s going to buy this. It seems too rare to give to a first-timer, and it’s not really exciting enough to catch the attention of your average rider or even collector. Maybe some Honda fanatic will want it to round out his/her collection.

Honda CBR125R - Headlight

This specific Honda CBR125R has under 2,700 miles and comes with the title and plates. The cosmetics might be hard to source, but the mechanical parts are easy to find thanks to the sharing of components with other Hondas.
