BMW recently released the R 12 lineup, which includes a cruiser, the G/S adventure bike, and the R 12 nineT retro standard. For a limited time they also offered the R 12 S, which their tribute to the legendary 1974 R90S in Daytona Orange.
This time around, BMW is calling the paint “Lava Orange Metallic.” It’s one of the few changes between the S and the nineT that it’s based off – you also get a headlight cowl, bar-end mirrors, spoked wheels, tail cowl, and some Option 719 trim pieces. As noted in a RevZilla review, you can option out the nineT to basically the same spec for the S, except for the paint.
This example has 320 miles and that’s pretty much all the seller has to say about this new bike.
