The Moto Guzzi Griso SE is a special edition of the venerable Griso, and it differed from the base bike with a fancy paint job, some blacked out parts, and spoked wheels. Mechanically, you also got adjustable suspension, and giant Brembo brakes – this bike was an interesting balance between the style of a custom with the components of a sportbike. For the last two years of production (2015/2016), the SE was the only option that Guzzi offered.

In 2014, Cycle World compared the Indian Scout, Honda CB1100, BMW R9T, and the Griso. Even though the Guzzi had been relatively unchanged for years, it was declared the winner. CW said, “Which leaves us with the Moto Guzzi. We’ve always liked the Griso, and in this group it really stands out. It undercuts the Beemer by more than $2,200, plus it has better suspension and a more comfortable riding position (unless you are a freakish 6-foot-4). What’s more, it matches the BMW’s power output, carves up mountain roads with authority, and, well, we can’t keep our eyes off it either. Even those editors who didn’t pick the Guzzi as their favorite ranked the Griso right near the top. With its style, performance, comfort, and handling, the Griso is one sweet package. Bella!”

This example stands out as it has just 213 miles. Per the seller, “my friend purchased this Griso 8V a few years ago, and, due to health issues, was never able to ride it much. Of the original 213 miles, I personally put on 150 miles the week it was delivered – a very powerful sport touring bike – I love it. Other than a bit of sun damage, this bike is pretty much perfect. There is a small scratch on the flyscreen.”
